Located deep in the Salient area of the Aberdare National Park, The Ark offer superb opportunities for wildlife encounters, either at its own waterhole and salt lick or in the surrounding forests. Built to resemble a wooden ark, the property is comprised of three ‘decks’, all of which have balconies and lounges with large picture windows. The ‘cabins’ are small but comfortable and all offer views of a waterhole. If exciting wildlife visits during the night, an optional buzzer will alert guests so they can put on provided robe and slippers and enjoy the flood-lit spectacle. For up-close encounters, guests can spend time in the ground-level hideout, where animals can be observed by the salt lick only a few yards away.
