Samburu Intrepids camp is set on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, deep in the heart of the Samburu National Reserve, which has excellent game-viewing opportunities. The camp looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink, along with more unusual species such as the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope. Intrepids offers spacious and luxurious en suite tents, each with a four-poster bed. There is a swimming pool and public areas are raised on stilts to catch the cool river breezes. Activities at Samburu Intrepids include twice-daily game drives, camel and walking safaris outside the reserve, tours of Samburu villages and traditional dances by local warriors. The camp's excellent Adventurers' Club offers a fascinating educational safari for children of all ages, under the expert tuition of Samburu's finest guides.
