Located in the 1,510 sq km Masai Mara game reserve, the largest and most visited reserve in Kenya, Sala's Camp is located in a shaded forest looking south towards the Serengeti along the banks of the Sand river. The camp lies near the Wildebeest migration routes making it a prime location for wildlife viewing. There are seven luxury en suite tents with hot showers, flushing lavatories and running water. Food in the camp is cooked in a traditional style over a campfire with the help of a gas cooker using locally bought and sourced ingredients. The cuisine is a mixture of international dishes with a variety to suit all tastes. Local Masai, indigenous to the area, are employed in the camp, while all the tents are constructed from Kenyan-made materials.
