Ol Tukai Lodge
Ol Tukai Lodge is set in the heart of Amboseli National Park, surrounded by open plains and offering majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the continent’s highest peak. You’re likely to spot monkeys and baboons roaming the grounds, while elephants, zebra and antelope can often be seen grazing nearby from the open-air bar. The chalet-style rooms have private terraces with uninterrupted views of the wetlands or Kilimanjaro, and a shared swimming pool provides a welcome relief from the day’s heat. Delicious meals are served on the main veranda, where lucky diners can watch wildlife just metres away.
Between game drives there are many special experiences on offer: intimate, lantern-lit bush dinners can be arranged; the resident ornithologist accompanies bird walks in the lodge grounds; and on alternate evenings some of the local Maasai perform traditional dances.
Facilities: 80 chalet-style rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, tennis courts, laundry service, terrace.
Room amenities: Air conditioning, balcony, tea & coffee facilities, safe, desk, outdoor furniture, Wi-Fi.
