Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is a very comfortable yet traditional bush camp on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Owner-managed by Alex and Diana Hunter, the camp is set in nearly 100, 000 acres in the Laikipia region of central Kenya, right on the Equator. There are 6 well-appointed eco-friendly tents, all of which are generously spaced out along the river. Game viewing is excellent here and provides a well-rounded introduction to any Kenya safari. Guests can tailor their days with a huge array of activities on offer including: game drives (day and night), bush walks, rhino feeding, radio-collared lion tracking, visits to the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary and running on the plains in front of Mount Kenya. Guests can also go behind the scenes and visit the Wildlife Research and Monitoring team to learn in detail how the conservancy is ecologically and economically self-sustainable.
