Finch Hatton's lies at the heart of Tsavo West National park. Denys Finch Hatton was one of Kenya's great adventurers. He devoted his life exploring the wild in style. In his camp, dinner was served on fine china with silver and crystal, while the gentle strains of Mozart played in the background. Here in Tsavo, where he lived and died, this tradition lives on. The camp surrounds a natural freshwater spring and has 17 tented suites along the water's edge, occupied by hippo and crocodile. Sit by the fire and enjoy drinks before dinner which is in Finch Hatton's style of 7 courses. Facilities include a fine dining room, a bar and lounge, a children's entertainment room, a business centre, a library, a star gazing terrace, an oudoor boma, an infinity edge pool, a health and wellness centre with two outdoor massage pavilions, a spa, gym and yoga room with a view of the Chyulu Hills.
The main activity at this camp is 4x4 game drives in the morning and in the evening. There is big 5 in the area with zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, Thomsons gazelle and giraffe easily spotted. Bird life at Finch Hatton's is spectacular, with over 200 locally recorded species.
