Hara Langano, close to Lake Langano and surrounded by ancient forest, is a comfortable lodge where you can feel at one with nature. Each room, or gojo as they are known locally, is secluded and many are situated on the lake shore. There are a wide range of activities available from Hara Langano. With abundant birdlife and wildlife within the grounds, guided walks, boat trips, bicycle and horse rides are all possible. There is an excellent chance of spotting hippos, dik diks, hyenas, baboons, anteaters and colobus monkeys. Ethiopia is famed for its endemic bird species, and the birding here is some of the best in the world. It's common to see fish eagles enjoying their catch from the lodge. Other species you may see include yellow-fronted parrots, African fish-eagles, orange-bellied parrots, African paradise flycatchers, bare-faced go-away birds, white-cheeked turacos, cuckoo shrikes and a huge number of waterbirds. Fishing, kayaking and sailing are also available. Experienced local guides are available for birdwatching and trekking trips in the surrounding area
