Kwando Little Kwara Camp is located in the remote northern part of the Okavango delta within the private Kwara concession. Kwara is a wilderness area in excess of 1,700 sq km, bordering the Moremi Reserve. It encompasses a wide diversity of habitats, ranging from the clear delta waters, with reed-lined lagoons and channels, to open grasslands, mopane woodlands and islands.
The four luxury safari-style suites are built on raised decks, within a grove of African ebony trees. Each tent has its own viewing deck and private en suite facilities, including a hot and cold running shower and flush lavatory. At Kwando Little Kwara Camp, guests enjoy a diverse wildlife experience all year-round, but the focus is on the water - whether gliding along in the special silence of a mokoro dugout canoe through crystal waters or visiting the Godikwe lagoon, where you can stand on a boat literally eye to eye with thousands of herons, storks and other nesting birds. The Kwara area is also home to a variety of wild animals including, lechwes, sitatungas, reedbucks, bushbucks, hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, sables, roans, zebras, giraffes wildebeest, impalasand tsessebes. Lions, hyenas, wild dogs, leopards and cheetahs are also found in this part of the delta. As well as morning and afternoon safari drives, Kwara also offers fishing (both spinner and fly), walks with a guide on one of the many islands and night drives.
