The Armani Hotel Dubai
Cox & Kings’ Roop Kumar was recently in Dubai and stayed at the new Armani Hotel.
The dining options include an Indian restaurant (a personal favourite of Mr Giorgio Armani), an Italian fine dining option and modern Japanese cuisine, along with a bar and lounge. The food seemed reasonably priced, especially bearing in mind where you are. Upon speaking to the hotel's manager, I was told that Mr Giorgio wants everyone to enjoy good cuisine in the own hotel, rather than thinking of options outside the hotel.
I was also told (indirectly) that this hotel is more of a symbol of prestige, rather than to make profits -hence the extra details towards guest satisfaction. The staff too were very stylishly dressed, a constant reminder that you are in the house of one of the world's best fashion designers.
For retail therapy you are spoilt for choice. You can pick from Armani Dolci for elegant Italian sweets, to Armani Galleria to buy limited pieces of fashion accessories from the Armani prive collection.
Overall, a stay at Armani is a unique experience.
