Winner – Girl in Cambodia by Neil St John

It’s a special experience to encounter real village life.  I took a boat ride along the Tatai river in Cambodia to a rustic fishing village, where I spotted this beautiful child. I was delighted to capture her smile, which quickly became a toothless grin!

I had read about the stilt fishermen before travelling to Sri Lanka and I got the opportunity to photograph them on the coast at Ahangama. Fortunately, I was able to get them in silhouette with a beautiful sunset as a backdrop.
