Days 2-3: Fly to Mfuwe • South Luangwa National ParkArrive in Lusaka and connect with an onward flight to Mfuwe. Transfer to Mchenja Camp for a 2-night stay. Mchenja is flanked on one side by a grove of ebony trees and on the other by the banks of the Luangwa river, where elephants often cross and leopards are known to roam. Activities include walking safaris and wildlife drives (day and night). (D) (B, L, D)
Days 4-6: South Luangwa National ParkJoin a shared overland transfer further into the South Luangwa National Park, ending up at Nsolo Camp for a 3-night stay. Being another riverside property, Nsolo guests are often treated to incredible lion and wild dog encounters as the animals drink and stalk their prey on the banks of the seasonal Luwi and its permanent lagoon. Bush walks and day/night game drives are again included throughout your stay. (B, L, D)
Days 7-9: Fly to the Lower Zambezi National ParkTransfer back to Mfuwe and fly to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Stay 3 nights at Chongwe River Camp. Located at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chongwe rivers, in an area where elephants are often more numerous than people, the camp offers superb wildlife viewing from both land and water, with day and night game drives, bushwalks, boat trips, canoe excursions and tiger fishing all among the included activities. A wildlife ‘hide’ looking out on to a nearby waterhole also offers excellent photographic opportunities within the camp’s grounds. (B, L, D)
Days 10-11: Fly to LivingstoneFly to Livingstone and transfer to Waterberry Zambezi Lodge for a 2-night stay. Waterberry is in a lovely secluded position on the banks of the spectacular Zambezi river with views across to the Zambezi National Park on the opposite bank. This is a small, friendly, informal lodge within easy reach of Victoria Falls. Activities (one per day included) consist of: a visit to the falls (excluding entrance fee); a boat cruise; a village walk; a tour of Livingstone; guided birding in Mosi oa Tunya Park; and fishing. Additional activities and other optional excursions can be booked and paid for locally. (B, L, D)
Days 12-13: Fly home via JohannesburgTransfer to Livingstone Airport and fly home via Johannesburg, arriving the next day. (B) (N)

Waterberry Zambezi Lodge is a small, friendly, informal lodge 30 minutes from Livingstone but in the heart of the wild. The comfortable bedrooms are set around sweeping lawns, some overlooking a secluded private dam with beautiful birdlife, some overlooking the river front. Waterberry is the perfect place to just relax and watch the view from the large terrace, the floating sundeck or around the large swimming pool.
Nsolo Bush Camp is a romantic, thatched camp situated on a waterhole in the shade of a large grove of evergreen trees. There are four spacious, open sided thatched chalets built on raised wooden decks with reed walls, en-suite bathrooms and private verandahs overlooking the surrounding bush. There is a main area with bar and dining offering a peaceful refuge where guests can study the camp's collection of books or watch for a variety of game at the waterhole.
Mchenja, meaning "the ebony tree", is set beneath a magnificent grove of these trees on the banks of the Luangwa river. The camp comprises five stylishly designed tents each under its own thatched roof, and each with private en-suite shower and inside bath. There is a small pool alongside the bar, allowing guests to seek cool refuge during the heat of the day. Mchenja is one of four bushcamps owned and managed by Norman Carr Safaris and is in an excellent location for walking safaris.
Chongwe River Camp is situated on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers, directly opposite Mana Pools. The Chongwe River is the boundary of the Lower Zambezi National Park. The camp itself looks onto the confluence of the two rivers and the mountains of the escarpment to the north. Situated under a canopy of Albida thorns and surrounded by cool lawns, the 8 chalets are large, well appointed safari tents under thatch, with luxury ensuite open-air bathrooms. The bathrooms are an experience on their own. All fittings are made from natural materials found near the lodge.
