Masoala Forest Lodge is a small, simple camp that is ideally located for exploring the Masoala peninsula. Set in a small clearing in the primary rainforest, behind a golden beach at the edge of the Tampolo Marine Park, this tented camp is constructed of bamboo, palm and wood. Each of the six safari-style tents are raised on wooden decks, complete with canvas chairs and a hammock. Each tent is netted and boasts an en-suite bathroom with hot running water. The communal lodge area has a few comfortable chairs and a large wooden dining table. Traditional meals served here focus on fresh fish, seafood and local produce. Activities from the lodge include guided forest walks to look for wildlife, reptiles and birds, and snorkelling amid protected coral reefs, home to an abundance of fish.
The Cote Ouest Palissandre Resort & Spa is located on Nosy Kely beach, just 45 minutes away from the legendary Baobab Alley. The property is built of rosewood and granite and filled with local crafts. The poolside restaurant offers national and international cuisine.
