Day 4: Kibale National ParkToday begins with your first chance to encounter the primates that share the most genetic similarities to humans, chimpanzees. While sightings are never guaranteed, the region offers around a 90% chance. Afternoon boardwalk wander, looking out for multiple monkey species. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park (North)Head south to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, where possible sightings include the world’s largest population of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Continue to the Kyambura Gorge Lodge for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park (South)Morning chimpanzee trek. Then travel to the Ishasha Wilderness Camp, home for the next 2 nights. After lunch, embark on a game drive to view animals such as elephants, buffaloes, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and of course, the famed tree-climbing lions. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park (South)Enjoy another game drive and more wildlife photography opportunities, before an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the camp facilities. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkContinue south to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in at Buhoma Lodge for 2 nights and then choose from a range of optional cultural or wildlife walking experiences. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkRise early for a trek into the forest mist in search of mountain gorillas. The duration of the trek will depend on the conditions and exact location of the gorillas, and can range from 1 to 4 hours each way. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Lake Mburo National ParkDrive east to Mihingo Lodge, within Lake Mburo National Park. After checking in for an overnight stay, join a night safari in search of leopards, jackals, zebras, hippos, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs and over 300 different bird species. (B, L, D)
Day 11: EntebbeAfter a short morning game drive, continue east to Entebbe. Check in to the Karibu Entebbe Hotel for an overnight stay and enjoy an optional excursion or time at leisure. (B, L, D)

Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp is located in an unspoilt remote area in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Guests are housed in twin bed east African meru-style tents situated in the wooded area besides the Ntungwe river. Each tent has its own private en suite bathroom and dressing area with hot water bush showers and an eco-friendly toilet. A central dining area, also under canvas, provides a comfortable environment for meals and an outdoor area beside the river acts as a lounge and evening fireplace venue for guests to complete their bush experience.
The Buhoma Lodge is a small, intimate, property located just within the national park's boundaries, five minutes away from the gorilla trekking start point and commanding stunning views of the pristine rainforest. Originally known as the Buhoma Homestead, the property has been renovated and now offers eight traditionally built cottages with en suite facilities, private verandas, large comfortable beds and hot and cold running water, while some cottages also feature bath tubs. There is an elevated lounge area where, on cool evenings (as the lodge is at almost 1,500 metres above sea level), a fireplace is lit while the lodge's restaurant serves a variety of international and local dishes such as matoke and g-nut sauce, on request.
