Superior Private Tour in brief

Day 1: Fly to Maun, via Johannesburg

Fly overnight to Maun, via Johannesburg. (N)

Day 2: Fly to Central Kalahari Game Reserve

On arrival in Maun, take a scenic flight to the Central Kalahari. Stay 3 nights at the Haina Kalahari Lodge, located on a private concession on the border of the game reserve. (L, D)

Days 3-4: Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Enjoy morning and afternoon land-based wildlife activities on the look-out for Kalahari lions, leopards, cheetahs and many other species. You can also meet local San Bushmen, who will take you on an informative guided walk on which you will learn about their history and customs, and the survival techniques that have allowed them to thrive in such a wild and untamed environment. Day 5: Fly to the Okavango Delta

Fly to the Okavango Delta. Stay 2 nights at Pom Pom Camp, which has just nine en suite tents and overlooks the legendary Chief ’s Island. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is unquestionably one of the world’s most extraordinary wildlife watching locations. The swampy waters of this unusual inland river delta sustain huge numbers of animals, particularly elephants, throughout the year. Water-based safaris here make a mesmerising contrast to a standard game drive. Experience those contrasts today with both land- and water-based wildlife activities. (B, L, D)

Days 7-8: Fly to Kasane • Chobe riverfront

Morning flight to Kasane and transfer to the Chobe Princess for a 2-night stay on board a luxurious houseboat. Activities include wildlife viewing from tender boats, birding, fishing, wildlife drives and relaxing on board as you float up and down the Chobe river. Possible sightings are wide ranging, but include elephants, hippos, baboons and countless bird species. (B, L, D)

Days 9-10: Fly home, via Johannesburg

Transfer to Kasane Airport and fly to the UK, via Johannesburg. (B) (N)

    The Pride of the Zambezi is an upmarket houseboat berthed on the Chobe river right by the entrance to the Chobe National Park. The accommodation is all en suite and located on the top and lower deck.
