The day will begin with a visit to Baia archaeological park, including the castle of Baia, an impressive structure that was built on the ruins of the imperial palace and is now home to the archaeological museum.
Continue to Cuma, home to the first ancient Greek settlement on the Italian mainland in the eighth century BC to see the remnants of Greek temples. (B)Day 5: Pompei • Oplontis
Today’s sightseeing tour begins with a visit to Pompeiii, highlights of Pompeii include the basilica, the Temple of Apollo; and the oldest-known Roman amphitheatre once capable of holding up to 20,000 spectators.
The tour will then proceed to Oplontis. Close to Pompeii, Oplontis was also buried under a layer of ash when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. (B)Day 6: Herculaneum • Naples
This morning visit Herculaneum where your tour will feature the Casa d’Argo, a well-preserved example of a Roman noble family’s home; the extraordinary mosaic at Casa di Nettuno e Anfitrite; and the public baths at Terme del Foro.
Proceed to Naples for an afternoon visit to the city’s renowned archaeological museum. (B)Day 7: Naples • Fly to London
This morning, travel to Paestum, prior to your return to the UK.
Sights include the Doric temples of Ceres, Hera and Neptune. The Tempio di Nettuno (Neptune) is the largest and best preserved of the three temples with only parts of the inside walls and roof missing.
Transfer to Naples Airport for your flight.

He has also curated exhibitions, including for the British Council in Tanzania and Eritrea.
