The Ubuntu mobile tented camp offers year round access to one of nature's greatest events, the famed Serengeti wildebeest migration. It does this by literally upping sticks and moving around Tanzania with the herds as their geographical circle of life unfolds. From December to March it pitches up in the southern region, before reappearing in the western corridor during May, June and July. Then, between August and November it heads north, close to the Mara river.
The camp itself, though built for flexibility, also offers unexpected comfort and facilities. There are just eight tented suites with quality king-size or twin beds. Each has its own bathroom with running water and flush toilet. There are also separate lounge and dining tents in which you can relax and share stories about your animal encounters each day. Dinner is usually served al fresco around the camp grounds, often with a fire pit nearby when required.
Features: 8 tented suites, lounge tent, dining tent.
Tent amenities: Private bathroom with running water, hot bucket shower and flush toilet; solar powered electricity.
