Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is located in the heart of the Mary River Wetlands and is named after the explorer John McDouall Stuart who trekked through this area on his epic journey to become the first person to successfully cross the Australian continent in 1862. The lodge offers a variety of accommodation with comfortable facilities including a licensed Saloon bar & bistro. Features: 15 lodge rooms, 9 standard style accommodations, bar, beer garden, satellite television in the bar, Wetlands Bistro, saltwater swimming pool, laundry facilities, payphone. Room amenities: Air conditioning, lodge guestrooms have a private bathroom while standard guestrooms have shared bathroom facilities.
