Accommodation rating:

Hotel Djenne Djenno is owned by a Swiss artist, who designed the hotel in the same style as the Djenne mud mosque. Each room is individually decorated and named after the various tribes in Mali. There are 13 en-suite rooms with fans. We recommend upgrading to one of the two suites. There is a good restaurant and roof top bar with a distant view of the Djenne mud mosque. The advantage of staying in Djenne itself is that you can enjoy wondering around the numerous lanes in the late afternoon. At this time many tourists have already returned to Mopti.
