Gora Hanaougi Sounkaku is a ryokan located in the Gora area of Hakone National Park, with good access to the museums and the Tozan cable car station. This ryokan prides itself on providing guests with the highest quality of service, from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. On entering the ryokan you will follow the Japanese custom of removing your shoes. Staff dressed in traditional kimono will greet you and serve you green tea during the checking-in process, before leading you to your room. Throughout the hotel there is warm, gentle lighting to create a relaxing atmosphere and to compliment the natural materials used to design the interior. All guestrooms are traditional in design and consist of a tatami mat room with traditional low table and chairs, futon beds and en suite bathroom. Dinner is a traditional multi-course kaiseki-style meal with up to 12 different dishes carefully prepared by the ryokan's chef. The ryokan has a selection of indoor and outdoor communal onsen (hot spring baths), and there is also an outdoor wooden bath that can be hired for private use.
