Located in old Damascus, Beit Zaman is a boutique hotel made up of 4 interconnected houses all restored to their former splendour. Syrian in design and traditionally decorated, the hotel is filled with 300 year old fountains, granite courtyards and carved stone niches. Due to its location in the old city, the hotel can only be reached on foot and is approximately 5 minutes' walk from the nearest car access point.
The 28 rooms and suites are set around a central courtyard. All rooms have a wooden ceiling and are filled with antique furniture and traditional handicrafts. Each room has a modern en suite bathroom, safe, satellite TV, air conditioning, mini bar and wireless Internet access. Due to the traditional architecture, the rooms may have small windows which are interior facing into the public areas of the property.
There is a small breakfast room offering a buffet service, a tea room and a café. While the hotel does not cater for lunch and dinner, there are several traditional restaurants within walking distance. There is a bar and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city. There is also a hammam offering massage and body treatments.
