Step 2: Pay your deposit

In order to request and confirm your private travel arrangements, Cox & Kings require a deposit. This is 15% of the total holiday cost (20% for Australasia) or £250 per person, whichever is greater. For some holidays, a higher deposit will be payable or it may be necessary to make full payment at the time of booking. This is usually the case where full payment for certain services, such as your flight, has to be made immediately after your booking is confirmed in order to secure that service or the price quoted at the time of booking.

If you are booking within 90 days of departure you will need to send full payment at the time of booking. You can pay the deposit by cheque or bank transfer. Please note that services will only be confirmed after we have received the payment.

Please ensure that you have read our Booking Conditions. These can be found online using the link below or please ask your travel consultant to email you a copy.

You can view our booking conditions in each brochure and online.

Step 3: Confirmation

On receipt of your deposit, Cox & Kings will request the various services that will make up your holiday and send you a confirmation invoice with instructions on how to pay the remaining balance. If any of the services requested are unavailable, you will be contacted by your travel consultant to discuss suitable alternatives.

Booking with your local travel agent

If you would prefer to book through your local travel agent, please consider one of our preferred agencies.

Organising visas for travel

You can view the latest visa and entry requirements by country at www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.

If you require further information about obtaining a visa, Cox & Kings can recommend a reputable visa assistance company who can help with your application. Please contact your travel consultant for details.

Neither Cox & Kings nor any visa assistance company can guarantee the granting of any visas, as this is a matter outside of their control. If a visa is not granted through no fault of Cox & Kings or any visa assistance company, neither will accept any liability for the consequences. Therefore Cox & Kings reserves the right to pass on to you any costs incurred as a result, including cancellation charges.

British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Advice:

Cox & Kings also supports the British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Travel Aware campaign. In addition to entry requirements, the FCDO provides advice on safety, security and health for countries worldwide, as well as general information, at www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and www.travelaware.campaign.gov.uk. We recommend you read the FCDO advice for all destinations being visited, and revisit this advice regularly prior to your departure as it may change frequently. It is possible to sign-up to receive FCDO e-mail updates for your destination so that you are aware of any changes issued and it is recommended you do this.

Organising travel insurance

Travel Insurance is an important part of any booking. Cox & Kings requires that everyone who books with us has adequate travel insurance for their holiday which includes cover for all the activities you plan to undertake and protects you against cancellation, medical/repatriation expenses and personal liability claims.

If you have not already arranged appropriate cover, our recommended travel insurance provider is Campbell Irvine Direct.

You can apply for travel insurance online at: www.campbellirvine.com/CoxandKings
