Arriving at the Shamwari Game Reserve was the high point of the holiday. Luxurious accommodation in a superb location. Great service, food and game drives combined to make a truly one-off experience.Mrs Janice McGlashon
Difficult to choose between the tracking and finding of desert elephants in Damaraland, and the safari drive in Erindi, where we saw a host of different animals and witnessed a kill (two cheetahs on a springbok). Both expeditions were enhanced by the jeep drivers who showed enthusiasm, persistence and knowledge.Ms Sarah Dearman
Every day I thought 'it couldn't get better than this' - but it did.Mrs Jane Knight
The scenery was amazing throughout the tour, but the two main sights for us were St. Georges cruciform rock church and the Blue Nile falls. Both truly amazing.Mr David Eyres
The tour was very well conducted by Malcolm Glaser, our tour guide and Charlie his driver - Malcolm could not do enough for us to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves therefore making the tour a great success.Mr Trevor Bold
[What was inspirational was ] the sheer range of experiences from the vibrant city of Cape Town to the vistas of the wineries around Franschhoek and Stellendosch and the drive through the mountains to Sanbona in the Little Karroo. Seeing white rhino and elephants at sunset and then the amazing fynbos at Grootbos near Walker Bay. Every day brought something new and fresh. Mrs Lindsey Riley
A belated thank you so much for the arrangements you made for our recent trip to South Africa. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our holiday.Mr Riley
A good holiday which provided an excellent introduction to Madagascar, in a short space of time. The holiday was well planned, which meant that I was able to see a lot in one week. The tour manager was really excellent - one of the best tour managers I have had on a holiday of this kind.Mr Sweeny
Although the rock churches of Lalibela were particularly impressive, it was the overall balance of sights that impressed us: the stelae of Axum and the castles of Gondar plus the magnificence of the Simien Mountains and Lake Tana. Mr Roger Darlington
An excellent itinerary. Transfers were seamless.Mr and Mrs Johnson
We planned the trip with Cox & Kings over an extended period and the whole experience surpassed anything that we could have imagined. We have never been treated so courteously, professionally and enthusiastically. It was truly a holiday of a lifetime.Mr Tachauer
Truly the trip of a lifetime. From start to finish our itinerary worked like clockwork, which meant we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves very much. This is our second trip with Cox & Kings an we cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all very much.Mr Gait
The birdwatching at Ambua and Karawari was world class. They have Joseph and Stephen at Ambua, and Chris at Karawari, who are THE experts in PNG, and are mentioned in the new bird book. Mr Anthony Ray
Thanks for all your help in creating a truly memorable holiday.Miss Spencer
Thank you for making our holiday both wonderful and memorable.Mr Churchill
Many memorable moments but the best has to be the overnight cruise on Milford Sound on the Milford Mariner. It rained on the way to Milford Sound but it had stopped by mid afternoon and by early evening the weather was perfect. We went out on the tender in Harrison Cove and communed with the penguins on the shoreline as the sun went down - then back to the boat for an excellent dinner. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and good fun. The scenery was, of course, spectacular.Ms Ann Abraham
My wife and I had the most fantastic holiday. Truly the trip of a lifetime. From start to finish our itinerary worked like clockwork, which meant we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves very much. This is our second trip with Cox & Kings an we cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all very much.Mr Peter W.D Gait
It's not possible to give single inspirational moment , so here are my top five!
1. Being selected to feed one of the wild dolphins at Monkey Mia
2.A fantastic day out with Sylia Mills looking at the wonderful wild flowers of the region in depth
3. Meeting so many friendly and welcoming Australians on the AAT Kings coach trip, a really great way to not only see Australia but also get a real insight into the Australian mind set. ( the majority of fellow travellers were from Australia, plus 3 from NZ, 4 from USA and one other from UK for first half of tour)
4. Re-visiting the amazing Pinnacles with their weird rock formations (Wave Rock and the Jeweled Caves were special too!)
5 Visiting Penguin Island ( off Rockingham) on my last day, the first day the island was opened after the little penguin breeding season. Dr Marilyn Kirby
A truly fascinating holiday discovering the astonishing beauty of New Zealand.
A wonderful holiday and very pleased with all aspects of the itinerary put together for us by Cox and Kings. Mr Mark Hodgson
Apart from the beauty of Costa Rica as a whole, I really enjoyed the Panama Canal trip and then visiting the Miraflores Locks the following day. Having learned about it as a child, it was just great to experience it 'for real'. It was fascinating to see everything working in virtually the same way as it has done for the past 100 years! I found the the museum/information centre excellent.
Ms Merryl Graham
Difficult to choose! Seeing the beautiful colonial buildings, some beautifully retsored and others, often still inhabited, crumbling around us. Also, visiting the Monumento Ernesto Che Guervara and hearing the passion in our guide's voice as she explained about the battle of Santa Clara. My husband would say the old cars! Mrs Jane Jowitt
Guides and staff excellent, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.Dr A Graham
Havana was definitely the highlight, an architectural and historic gem. In addition, it was a hassle free city, very clean and everything easily accessible. Historic buildings are beautifully and subtly illuminated at night. The people for the most part are friendly, helpful and courteous.Mr and Mrs Taylor
I can't say that there was one specific moment - there were many. The country and the people were wonderful, despite their obvious poverty. Our tour guide Maria was first class, and went out of her way to make sure that everything went smoothly. Mrs Judith Purssell
Among many, including crossing the walkways at Monteverde in driving rain and a strong wind, the real highspot was the visit to La Selva. We felt privileged visitors, had a superb guide and saw an amazing range of animals and birds within a remarkably short time. If only we had had longer there.Mr Paul Langridge
Many inspirational moments in spotting wildlife of amazing diversity in the nature reserves and alongside the road, thanks to our hawk-eyed guide. I would also mention the wonderful swim on the beach at Manuel Antonio on the last full day of the tour. You'd have to go a long way to find a better sea-swim.Mrs Fiona Anderson
Our trip to Guatemala was a great success. Thanks for organising such a great itinerary. There was plenty of contrasts, changes of pace etc to ensure there was always something of interest without being rushed around from sight to sight.Ms Alexander
The city of Trinidad contained much of what was great about Cuba in a nutshell. It was lively, friendly, very photogenic with a history that went back over 500 years. Mr William Kerr
The highlights were seeing the rainforest for the first time, the knowledge of our local guides was also amazing. Costa Rica has been the holiday of a lifetime for me…I cannot fault the service.Mrs Tooley
The medieval walled city of Khiva and desert fortresses visited en route [were inspirational]. Dr Keith Curtis
The guide was the most impressive of all. She always responded to our individual needs and made the journey and tour very comfortable and enjoyable. She was a guide, a singer, a dancer, and above all a friend. Dr Muhammad Rahman
Our first evening in Khiva was magical. We walked by ourselves in the almost deserted streets of the old city and felt transported in another world, with the beautiful mosques and madrassas rising in the dying light. There were many amazing moments during the group visits but I would pick the climb to the Zoroastrian tower of silence near Nukus, looking at the great Oxus river and thinking of the flow and ebb of the ancient civilisations and cultures that were built and destroyed over the centuries in this now forgotten heart of Central Asia.Dr Mireille Levy
Standing in the Registan in Samarkand and marvelling at some of the most jaw-dropping and imposing Islamic architecture I've ever seen against a clear as crystal blue sky. Ms Wendy Proctor
Registan Square in Samarkand - The sight was so extraordinarily beautiful it took our breath away, and we all stood silent for several minutes, just taking in the scene. I think this site is one of the wonders of the world.Dr. Eva Simmons
Most inspirational moment - Khiva - beautiful and unexpected although the people came close: friendly, interested proud of their country. Discussing jewellery, children and husbands with ladies selling bread in the market, and not a word of a common language between us, but we communicated just fine!Mrs Jane Laver
Bukhara: walking into the Kalyon mosque and seeing the huge tiled facades, the minaret and turquoise domes all set in the immense courtyard, in which we heard that Genghis Khan murdered the entire young male population of the city in the 13th century. Historic, tragic and beautiful all at once.Miss Miranda Dawkins
I really can't really pick out one moment, all of it was wonderful. Our guide, Tahir, was marvellous. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful. Mrs Christine Gregory
The most inspirational moment was the first view of Registan Square in Samakand, which was the primary reason for our Uzbek trip and the overwhelming genuine friendliness of the Uzbek people.Mr John Bourne

There were many highlights on this tour but the tour of Delphi was excellent. With the back drop of the mountains, it was very peaceful and idyllic. The extension in Hydra was brilliant. It was a very relaxing and peaceful island and was ideal way to unwind before the main tour.Miss Kerri Thomas

All your arrangements worked well and we had a wonderful few days in Istanbul.Mr Phillips
Early morning walks around the Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia, before the crowds. Meeting Father Ian Sherwood. In general, becoming aware of the tragedies affected the disenfranchised minorities in the Middle East & Central Asia, and how they are related to their shared religious and cultural histories. Ms Pamela England
Full marks!Ms. Parr

[Inspirational moments include the] dawn boat ride at Varanasi, walking out to see the Taj Mahal early morning and the lakes at Udaipur. Dr Alan Watson
[The most inspirational moment was] when we finally arrived at the childhood home of my mother at Katerri Falls, south of Ooty in the beautiful Nilgri Hills tea plantation country. We now understand why she missed Southern India so much when she returned to England in the 1930s. Mrs Charmian Bourne
There were almost too many highlights to single out just one. However, I would have to include the first sight of the Taj Mahal in any shortlist. There were so many other wondrous buildings. We also greatly enjoyed the trip to the local village in Jaipur as it gave us a better insight as to how the rural community live.Mrs Gwendoline Wilkins

Seeing the treasures of Tutankhamen in the Egyptian Museum. The jewellery was exquisite in both detail and artistry and in wonderful condition for its age. Also loved the view from the ship as we journeyed along the Nile. Fascinating view of the way of life. Tombs in the Valley of the Kings also a wonderful experience.
Seeing the Great pyramid, Sphinx and the tombs in the Valley of the Kings.Miss Ann Colbert

Great fun, well organised and very good quality trains and staff. Mrs Claire Lawley-Woods
Some excellent memories from each of the areas in Chile we visited – Santiago, the Atacama Desert, the Lake District, Torres del Paine National Park, Puerto Williams and Easter Island. The two highlights were Torres del Paine and Puerto Williams – in the former you felt as if you really were at the bottom of the world, almost like the outback in Australia. The daily activities in Puerto Williams were excellent. Mr Brendan Fitzgerald
Thanks for all your help that went into making this a wonderful holiday.Mr Da Silva
Seeing Machu Picchu was still a wow moment even after visiting the other Inca sites.Mr Mark Paterson
