Wildlife drives including Baobab tree site

| May 15, 2020

At the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, wildlife drives offer the chance of sighting vast herds of migratory zebras and wildebeest, as they concentrate along the Boteti river mainly during the dry season. This in turn attracts predators including lions and cheetahs to the river’s edge, making for a great wildlife viewing experience. Outside the dry season, the desert also offers fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities, and is known for its sightings of more elusive species such as brown hyenas. You can also visit the rare baobab trees that grow in this desert area, home to Chapman’s baobab, Africa’s third largest tree.
