Wildlife drives

| May 15, 2020

Take part in guided morning and afternoon drives in search of wildlife. The focus of the drives will vary depending on the time of year. During the drier months of May to October, the density of wildlife is lower but is still good for sighting wildlife such as springbok, gemsbok, black-backed jackals, wild dogs and others as they adapt to the harsh conditions. The ‘emerald season’, generally November to April, tends to attract antelopes, blue wildebeests and giraffes that feed off the green grasses and shoots that grow thanks to the rains. This in turn attracts predators such as cheetahs, the black-maned lions or black-backed jackals. Independent of what time of the year you visit, experienced guides will ensure you get the most out of your wildlife drives in the Kalahari.
