Whale watching

| May 15, 2020

Whale watching is a superb experience at De Hoop Nature Reserve, frequent sightings of southern right whales make this one of the best spots to see them in the world. The area is a world heritage site and is an important protected nursery for this endangered mammal. During the winter months (June to November), these gentle giants come very close to the shore, allowing visitors to relax on the unspoiled sand dunes and watch these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
