The island of Atiu is also known as Enuamanu, which means 'land of the birds'. Escorted by local expert George Mateariki, a man with a vast wealth of knowledge of the Atiuan ecosystem, search for Rarotonga flycatchers (kakerori) and endangered Rimatara lorikeets that were transferred to Rarotonga as part of a conservation programme.
