<p><span style="font-size:9pt;font-family:Verdana, sans-serif;">Travel to the north-west of Savai'i</span> and visit the Falealupo Rainforest Preserve, which protects an area of low-lying tropical rainforest near the village of Falealupo. The forest was due to be logged before the intervention of American ethnobotanist Dr Paul Alan Cox, who also helped the local village establish this treetop canopy walkway to raise funds. Suspended 40 metres above the forest floor and running for 30 metres between two giant Banyan trees, the walkway gives an interesting aerial view of the forest with the chance to spot native birds.</p> Share:
