Morning sightseeing in Mt. Seorakan National Park

| May 15, 2020

Mt Seroakan National Park is an area of beautiful unspoilt scenery, characterised by its peak, valleys and waterfalls. For some of the best views, take the cable car to Gwonkeumseong fortress, situated at 860 metres above sea level on Dol mountain. For something more active, walk the 3.6km long Biseondae Cliff Course trail, a 2-hour walk which affords superb views of Daecheongbong peak. The Shinheungsa temple on the mountain slopes, a nine-storey stone temple that houses a number of sculptures of the Buddha, is also worth a visit. Look out for the 10-metre tall bronze Jwabul statue of the Buddha on the approach to the temple.
