HD tour of the Penataran Temples and Museum

A short drive north of Blitar lie the Penataran temples, built between the 12th and 15th centuries, during the reign of the Majapahit empire. The main structure is a stepped pyramid with intricate carvings adorning each level, some depicting stories from the Hindu Ramayana epic poem. The nearby Museum Penataran displays statues that have been removed from the original site. Share:
