Half-day city tour

| May 15, 2020

Visit the museum that houses part of the vast collection of Salar Jung, one of the Nizam's prime ministers. Salar Jung travelled widely and compiled an eclectic collection of objet d'art, including jade, furniture, lacquer work, fabrics, manuscripts and weapons. Continue to Charminar, a triumphal arch standing at the centre of all the activities in the old city. Just behind Charminar is one of India's largest mosques, the Mecca Masjid, built in 1598 out of black granite. A maze of bazaars in the old city surrounds the Charminar arch. The most famous and oldest is Lad bazaar. Here, you can buy almost anything, from wedding bangles and rosewater, to herbs and spices, silver work, antiques, fabrics and pearls, for which Hyderabad has long been renowned.
