Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem (web only)

| May 15, 2020

The Church of the Nativity is one of the oldest churches in the world, built by the emperor Justinian in the sixth century above the spot where Jesus is traditionally believed to have been born. Visit the silver 14-pointed Star of Bethlehem, which marks the spot and is a focal point as you approach the altar. The Chapel of the Manger, ‘the Crib’, is to one side of the grotto and represents the scene of the nativity.
