Day 1 To Moscow: Transfer to the Marriot Royal Aurora or similar for 1 night. Welcome reception and dinner. (D)

Day 2 Moscow: Full day tour of Moscow including the Kremlin. This afternoon, board the Golden Eagle for the 12 night journey to Vladivostok. (B, L, D)

Day 3 Vladimir & Suzdal: Full day tour of the Golden Ring villages of Vladimir and Suzdal. (B, L, D)

Day 4 Yekaterinburg: Cross the Europe-Asia divide and arrive in Yekaterinburg, capital of the Urals. Visits include the Romanov execution site. (B, L, D)

Day 5 Novosibirsk: Stop in Novosibirsk and visit the Opera House, one of the world’s biggest, and Lenin Square. (B, L, D)

Day 6 On Board: At leisure. (B, L, D)

Day 7 Irkutsk: Morning arrival in Irkutsk, the ‘Paris of Siberia’. See the major sights and museums. (B, L, D)

Day 8 Lake Baikal: Pass by Lake Baikal, the world’s largest freshwater lake. Weather permitting, a stop will be made for a barbeque at one of the bays. Continue to Listvyanka, a small Baikal village. (B, L, D)

Day 9 Ulan Ude: Morning arrival in Ulan Ude, capital of the Buryat Republic, where there will be a tour and a concert. (B, L, D)

Day 10 Ulan Baatar: Situated on the Orkhon River, see the city’s major sights and museums. Lunch is served in a ger (yurt) restaurant. (B, L, D)

Day 11 On Board: At leisure. (B, L, D)

Day 12 On Board: At leisure. See Siberia at its most remote and beautiful as the train enters the region of permafrost. (B, L, D)

Day 13 On Board: At leisure. The most easterly point of the journey is reached as the train passes through Khabarovsk. (B, L, D)

Day 14 Vladivostok: Morning arrival. Take a tour of this once ‘closed’ Russian town and transfer to the Hotel Hyundai for 1 night. Farewell dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 15 To London: Transfer to the airport. (B)
