Luxury Alesund Short Breaks
This small fishing port, on islands connected by bridges in the northern part of Norway's fjord region, is an ideal base for exploring the region. The island was rebuilt by art nouveau architects from all around Europe following a fire that destroyed most of the buildings in 1904. The architecture is also characterised by stone houses, which are unusual for Norway. The best view of the town as a whole is seen from the nearby Aksla mountain.
