Luxury Turin Short Breaks
Until 1945 Turin was the capital of Italy and seat of the Savoys, and today the city still retains an air of grandeur. The most famous site in Turin is the Shroud of Turin, believed to be Christ's burial cassock, located at Cathedral di San Giovanni Batista. Although the shroud is rarely shown, a copy is displayed in the cathedral. Other sights include the majestic Piazza Castello, the 17th century Royal Palace and the baroque churches of San Carlo and Santa Cristina.
