Abu Dhabi will be gifted with three new museums, which should be ready to welcome culture lovers to the city in 2017, the state has announced.
Future visitors on luxury short breaks to Abu Dhabi will be able to visit branches of the Louvre gallery and the Guggenheim museum on Saadiyat Island. A third cultural venue, Zayed National Museum, is also being built.
All of the cultural venues are getting notable architectural designs from famous architectures.
Jean Nouvel will be responsible for the Louvre and Frank Gehry is supervising the Guggenheim. Zayed National will be designed by Lord Norman Foster. The designs promise to be worth a visit on their own.
The cultural plans had run into problems last year but are now in full throttle to attract new visitors in 2017.
