Day 1 – To Ahmedabad: Fly to Ahmedabad, via Mumbai (Bombay), with Jet Airways. (N)

Day 2 – Ahmedabad: Arrive in Ahmedabad and transfer to the House of MG for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure. (N)

Day 3 – Ahmedabad: Early morning heritage walk of the old quarter of Ahmedabad. After breakfast, proceed to visit the Calico Textile Museum. Afternoon tour of the Mahatma Gandhi ashram, the Siddi Sayed mosque and the Adalaj step-well. (B)

Day 4 – To Dasada: Morning visit to the incredible step-well at Patan and a patolaweaving family. After lunch, visit the ancient Sun Temple at Modhera. Continue to Dasada and stay 2 nights at Rann Riders (B, D)

Day 5 – Dasada: Morning desert safari across the Little Rann of Kutch, a salt marsh, looking for wild ass and water birds. Afternoon tour of settlements and villages along the Rann of Kutch, renowned for their embroideries and silk weaving. (B, L, D)

Day 6 – To Bhuj: Drive to Bhuj, capital of the captivating Kutch region. En route, visit Dhamadka to see block printing using natural dyes and a tribal village known for exquisite embroidery work. Stay 3 nights at the rustic Shaam-e-Sarhad Village Resort. (B, L, D)

Day 7 – Bhuj: Morning tour of the walled city of Bhuj with a visit to the Aina Mahal, the tribal museum and colourful markets. Afternoon visit to the Bhujodi village to watch different textile techniques, including shawl weaving, Rabari embroidery work and tie and dye work. (B, L, D)

Day 8 – Bhuj: Full-day visit to the Banni villages, including Nirona, home to the only family left practising the centuries-old art of rogan painting. (B, L, D)

Day 9 – To Gondal: Drive to Gondal, a fortified town located on the Gondali river. Stay overnight at Orchard Palace. (B, L, D)

Day 10 – To Sasan Gir: Morning visit to Junagadh, famous for its Ashoka rock edicts dating from the third century BC. Return to Sasan Gir to stay 2 nights at the Lion Safari Camp. (B, L, D)

Day 11 – Sasan Gir: Early morning and late afternoon wildlife viewing in search of the Asiatic lion and other wildlife. (B, L, D)

Day 12 – To Bhavnagar: Early morning wildlife viewing. Afternoon drive to Bhavnagar and stay at Nilambagh Palace for 2 nights. (B, L, D)

Day 13 – Bhavnagar: Drive to Palitana and visit the magnificent Jain temples located atop Mount Shatrunjaya. The 3.5km walk to the peak takes in more than 3,500 steps. (B, L, D)

Day 14 – To Ahmedabad: Drive to Ahmedabad, visiting the Harappan ruins at Lothal en route. Overnight at the House of MG. (B)

Day 15 – To London: Fly to London, via Mumbai (Bombay), with Jet Airways. (B)
