Day 1 – To Bengaluru (Bangalore): Overnight
flight from London to Bengaluru with British
Airways. (N)
Day 2 – Bengaluru: Arrive early morning and
transfer to the Taj West End Bengaluru (or
similar) for a 2-night stay, including immediate
occupancy. (B)
Day 3 – Bengaluru: Morning at leisure.
Following an afternoon tour of Bengaluru,
continue to the train station to board the
luxury Golden Chariot train. Evening departure
to Mysore. (B, D)
Day 4 – To Mysore / Kabini: Morning drive to
Nagarhole, an enchanting wildlife reserve for
late afternoon wildlife viewing. Stay overnight
at Kabini River Lodge. (B, L, D)
Day 5 – Mysore: Morning drive to Mysore.
Afternoon visit to Srirangapatnam, the site of
Tipu Sultan’s summer palace, and the Mysore
Palace. This evening, proceed to the Brindavan
Gardens, which have been a backdrop for
many Indian movies, and return to the train.

Day 6 – Hassan: Morning arrival in Hassan.
After breakfast, visit the ancient Jain pilgrim
centre at Shravanabelagola. In the afternoon,
drive to Belur and Halebid to visit the
intricately carved Hoysala Temples. (B, L, D)
Day 7 – Hampi: Full-day tour visiting the
exceptional ruins of the 14th-century
Vijayanagar empire. (B, L, D)
Day 8 – Badami: Morning arrival in Badami
to visit the rock-cut shrines. This morning, visit
the ancient temples at Pattadakal, a world
heritage site on the banks of the Malaprabha
river. Return to the train for an early evening
departure to Goa. (B, L, D)
Day 9 – Goa: Morning arrival at Karmali, Goa.
Visit the Portuguese churches of old Goa.
Return to the train for an overnight journey to
Bengaluru. (B, L, D)
Day 10 – Bengaluru: Arrive and transfer to the
Taj West End (or similar) until departure to the
airport. (B)
Day 11 – To London: Early morning flight to
London with British Airways. (N)
Excursions: This tour operates on a Private
Journey basis, although all excursions from the
train are taken as a group.
Itinerary changes: Departures from London
on British Airways are on Saturday mornings.
The train departs Bengaluru on Mondays.

operates special departures from Bengaluru
that include visits to the colourful temple
towns of Tamil Nadu, the historic port city of
