Day 1 – To Chennai: Overnight flight to Chennai. (N)

Day 2 – Chennai: Arrive and transfer to the Vivanta by Taj – Connemara for 2 nights. Afternoon tour of Chennai. (N)

Day 3 – Kanchipuram: Visit to the temple town of Kanchipuram. (B)

Day 4 – To Puducherry (Pondicherry): Drive to Puducherry, via Mahabalipuram. Stay 2 nights at the Maison Perumal. (B)

Day 5 – Puducherry: Tour of Puducherry, including a visit to the Sri Aurobindo ashram. (B)

Day 6 – To Kumbakonam: Drive to Kumbakonam and stay 2 nights at the Paradise Resort. (B)

Day 7 – Thanjavur (Tanjore): Visit to the Brihadeeswara Temple and Chola Museum. (B)

Day 8 – To Madurai: Drive to Madurai via Trichy. Stay 2 nights at the Heritage Madurai. (B)

Extension: Private tour of a tea plantation Accompanied by an estate manager learn about the history of tea and take a tour of the estate. Depending on the season you may see plantation workers picking the tea leaves and also have the opportunity to observe the various processes involved in the manufacture of tea.
