Our family holidays have been specially created for families seeking adventure and discovery without foregoing comfort and peace of mind.
All families have their own characteristics and the ideas we have put together are intended as suggestions – we would be delighted to adapt any of the ideas to suit your particular interests, or start from scratch with a completely tailor-made holiday.
Cox & Kings always aims to create experiences that will excite older and younger family members alike.
Exotic adventuresAt Cox & Kings we have built our expertise in specific regions. In the family holidays programme we play to our strengths, focusing on our specialist areas. We have gathered together travel ideas within five of our specialist areas: the Indian Subcontinent; Latin America; the Middle East; the Far East and Africa. All the destinations offer a variety of attractions and activity options, allowing you to combine cultural experience, natural discovery and glorious relaxation on one holiday. We intend that you and your family will return from a Cox & Kings journey inspired, but not exhausted, and we pace our itineraries accordingly.
Discovery in styleWhile these holidays are aimed at those with a sense of adventure, in most cases the accommodation featured is of a high standard – typically 4- and 5-star. All the holidays in the collection operate on a private basis. As part of a private travel itinerary, your family will be met by a local representative on arrival at each new destination along the way and taken to your hotel. In general, you will have your own private vehicle and driver, and on excursions you will have your own English-speaking guides.
Peace of mindNow that booking travel arrangements online is so easy, it is tempting to book holiday flights and hotels independently. However when you travel with Cox & Kings you will have the full support of us and our representatives in the event of any unforeseen problems, plus the protection of travelling with a fully bonded travel company – meaning you can enjoy complete peace of mind.

We have highlighted the standard of accommodation featured on a tour immediately above the tour itinerary.
In some cases, tours include some departures in one category and some in another: you can see and select the different tour types under ‘tour variations’. For these tours, the itinerary is generally the same and just the standard of accommodation varies. However, if there are any variations in the excursions included, these are shown within the itinerary.
Superior: Most Cox & Kings tours fall under this category and are based in 4- or 5-star accommodation, or the best available.
Luxury: These tours will usually feature 5-star de luxe accommodation throughout.
Standard: Simpler in emphasis, these itineraries typically feature 3- and 4-star accommodation throughout.
Discovery: This type of holiday is best suited to the hardier traveller, as it will typically include some quite basic accommodation, possibly longer and rougher road journeys and, in some cases, more arduous activities, such as trekking.
