Connoisseurs' Venice

24 - 28 October 2013 •
5 Days / 4 Nights from £1325
Much of Venice remains more or less as it was more than 500 years ago, with many important works of art still in their original locations. As such, it offers a rare opportunity to step back into the past and see how the art of previous centuries was experienced at the time it was created. This tour aims to go behind the scenes to explore some of Venice’s lesser known gems that lie beyond the regular tourist trail. Each day explores a specifi c region of the city to seek out treasures located in churches, palaces and meeting halls. It is therefore suited to those who have already been to Venice and are keen to explore further or those who are keen to learn more about the city’s history and distinctive visual culture.
