Day 1 – To Reykjavik: Afternoon flight from London Gatwick to Keflavik International airport with Iceland Air. Transfer from the airport to Reykjavik by Flybus shared coach and stay overnight at the Hilton Hotel (Guest room plus including mountain or sea view). (N)
Day 2 - To Hofn: This morning fly to Hofn on the South East coast of Iceland and transfer to your hotel. Take an afternoon scenic walk through the village and down to the harbour, where it's possible to see local fishermen landing their catches. In the evening take a guided walking tour in search of the northern lights. (B)
Day 3 - Day at leisure: Today visit a local museum and learn about the loacal area. Afterwards take an optional tour to Jokulsarlon, the Glacier Lagoon, where it's possible to see seals swimming between the floating icebergs. In the evening, take part in another guided walking tour in search of the northern lights. (B)
Day 4 – Day at leisure: Morning at leisure or optional activities. In the afternoon fly back to Reykjavik and stay overnight at the Hilton Hotel (Guest room plus including mountain or sea view). (B)
Day 5 - To London: Early morning transfer to Keflavik airport by Flybus shared coach for your flight back to London with Iceland Air. (B)
OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS:
Glacier Lagoon Take an optional tour to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon where you will cruise between icebergs left in the lagoon by the retreating glacier. The tour is a shared excursion with a maximum of 25 people on the amphibious vehicle. The tour lasts for approximately 45 minutes. Pls note that the boat tour is an option until the lagoon is frozen. Total duration of this tour from Höfn village is 4 hrs.
Skaftafell National Park: Drive one hour to Skaftafell National Park and take an easy 2-3 kilometre walk to Svartifoss waterfall and back. The total walking time is approximately 40 minutes excluding stops. Total duration of the tour from Höfn village is 6 hrs.
