Baltic States: The Riches of Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania

03 - 13 July 2013
11 Days / 10 Nights from £2325
Independent and individualistic: the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are among the most rewarding of the emerging destinations in Europe today. Although controlled at varying times by the Teutonic Knights, the powerful kingdoms of Sweden, Poland and until 1991, the Soviet Union, each country has fiercely retained its separate cultural identity through different ethnicity, language and religion. This tour will explore some of the fascinating and complex expressions of these identities in architecture, fine art and handicrafts.
