Belarus lying on the edge of eastern Europe is bordered by Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Poland and the Russian Federation. It is a country covered extensively by forests and lakes, wide plains, picturesque villages, ancient castles and monasteries. Major rivers such as the Dnieper pass across Belarus and one can spot European bison, wild boar and wolf, bear, beaver and lynx.


What to see

Belarus' three most captivating cities - Minsk, Brest and Vitsebsk, have much to offer all types of visitors. Meanwhile, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park is the perfect place to see Europe's largest mammal, the European bison and 60 other type of animals and 900 types of plant. Whilst the Pripyatsky National Park, or "lungs of Europe" offers fantastic birdwatching opportunities.
