Arrive into Montreal and make your own way to
Le St-Martin Hôtel Particulier for 2 nights. (N)
Day at leisure. (N)
Collect your hire car from downtown Montreal
and drive to Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. Stay 2
nights at the Hotel Lac-à-l’eau-Claire. (D)
Day at leisure. The use of kayaks and pedalos on
the lake are included in your hotel stay, or bikes
to explore the hills and forest. There is also a
range of walking trails. From June to September
it is possible to take a tour to observe bears and
beavers (payable locally). (B, L, D)
Drive to Quebec City and stay for 2 nights at the
Hotel 71. (B)
Day at leisure. Today you may wish to take an
optional shared excursion into Jacques-Cartier
National Park in search of beavers, moose and
Drive to Tadoussac, stopping en route at the
Saguenay Fjord National Park to enjoy the
scenery. Stay at the Hôtel Tadoussac for 2
nights. This evening join a shared excursion to
search for black bears in the wild. (B)
Join a shared guided whale-watching excursion
in the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park.
Reported species in the area include beluga,
humpback and fin whales. Harbour and grey
seals and harbour porpoise are also present.
Afternoon at leisure. Optional seaplane excursion
available (must be booked in advance). (N)
Drive along the Saguenay fjord, where it is
possible to kayak (additional cost), before
arriving at La Baie. Stay for 1 night at Auberge
des 21. (D)
Drive to Quebec City and stay overnight at the
Hotel 71. (B)
Drive to Montreal airport and return your hire
car before flying home, or continue your holiday
in Canada. (B)
