Great Bear Lodge is a self-contained floating lodge found in the wilds of Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest. This charming property provides the perfect base for going in search of grizzly bears, providing a haven of silence and solitude in which to relax at the end of a day of adventure. In the evening, dinner is served in the dining room, with a typical meal including freshly caught salmon marinated with maple syrup, mustard seeds and balsamic vinegar served on a cedar plank. In keeping with its surroundings, the lodge is run by wind and solar power to minimise its impact on the environment and the site can be accessed by a 50 minute flight from Port Hardy.
