Fly overnight from London

Visit the Grand Mosque, Bait
Al Zubair museum, Muttrah souk, and the
magnificent Al Alam Palace, official residence of

Drive to Oman’s former
capital, Nizwa, and visit the Al Hoota cave
complex, one of the largest cave systems in the
world. Stay at the View Hotel for 1 night. (B)
Return to Muscat via Bahla
fort and the Jabrin Palace, embellished with
beautiful hand-painted ceilings and carved
door frames. Continue to Muscat via the ruins
at the village of Tanuf. Stay in the Al Falaj Hotel
for 1 night. (B)
Transfer to the airport
for a flight to Khasab, capital of the Musandam
peninsula. Tour the city, then take a 4x4
excursion to Jebel Harim (meaning ‘Mountain
of Women’), the Khawr Al Najid coastline and
the Birkat Khalidiya park. Stay at the Atana Khasab for 2 nights. (B)
Take a traditional dhow
cruise – one of the most popular means of
exploring the stunning coastline and its small fishing villages and islands. The clear waters also
offer great swimming, snorkelling and dolphinspotting
Transfer to Khasab airport,
and fly to Salalah, via Muscat. On arrival, transfer
to the Hilton Salalah Resort for 2 nights. (B)
Visit Khor Rori creek, site of
the ruined city of Samhuram and capital of
ancient Arabia’s frankincense trade. Continue
to Nabi Ayoub, prophet Job’s tomb, perched
