This morning, visit Iran’s National Museum
to see the display of pre-historic and ancient
artefacts dating back to the sixth century BC.
Next visit the Golestan Palace, a Unesco world
heritage site; the museum complex; and the

Drive to Isfahan through the charming oasis
town of Kashan and the traditional village of
Abyaneh. Stay at the Ali-Qapu Hotel (or similar)

Full-day tour of the city. Visit the bridges of
Shahrestan, Khaju and Sio-se-pol and the many
churches in the Armenian quarter, including

Drive to Shiraz via Pasargadae, the first dynastic
capital of the Achaemenian empire, founded
by Cyrus the Great in the sixth century BC.
View the mausoleum of Cyrus the Great,
the fortified terrace of Tall-e-Takht and the
palace. Stay at the Park Saadi Hotel (or similar)

Full-day tour of Shiraz including visits to some
of the gardens of the city, including the Eram
Garden, the Pars museum and the pink-tiled 19thcentury
Nasir-ol-mosque, the Narenjestan Garden.

summer capital, to view the magnificent stone
terrace and palace. Continue to Naghsh-e-
Rostam, a site that is less well-known than
Persepolis but equally as impressive. Here you
can find Sassanian rock reliefs and ancient royal

Morning flight to Tehran. Stay overnight at
