Drive to Nubra valley via the Khardung La mountain pass, considered to be the highest motorable pass in the world. Stay 2 nights at the Chamba Camp, Diskit, the luxurious tents here are all elegantly decorated in traditional style. (B, L, D)
Early this morning, visit the quaint village of Turtuk. Interact with the locals and admire the traditional houses called nangchung. Taste the delicious apricots grown in the region. (B, L, D)
Take a morning camel-back ride along the soft, white, sandy deserts of Nubra valley. Later return to Chamba Camp, Thiksey for an overnight stay and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. (B, L, D)
In the morning, bid farewell to the land of the lamas as you transfer to Leh airport for your flight back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to The Imperial for an overnight stay. Take an afternoon city tour of Old Delhi where highlights including the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid mosque and Raj Ghat. (B)
