The Ganges, India's most sacred river, is a symbol of India's ancient culture and civilisation. The Ganges is considered to be pure, divine and a symbol of life, attracting hundreds of thousands of devout Hindus. The City of Light is an incredible 7-night cruise between Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world, and Patna, an ancient centre of learning and trade. The journey, usually only possible when the water levels are high, includes visits to quaint, rural villages and historic towns.
