Arrive and transfer to the Maidens Hotel for 1 night. (N)
Tour of Old Delhi. Shah Jahan founded the city of Shahjahanabad, now referred to as Old Delhi, in 1648. Your tour will include visits to the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid mosque and Raj Ghat. Overnight train to Kathgodam. (B)
Drive to Almora, gateway to the hills of the Kumaon region. Continue to Kalmatia Sangam Himalaya Resort for 2 nights. (B,L, D)
Trek to Binsar, walking through dense oak and rhododendron forests with sweeping views of the Himalayan ranges. Zero point, the highest point in Binsar, lies surrounded by giant snow-clad mountains. The second leg of the trek is scenic with views of the Himalaya on one side and the terraced valley on the other. (B, L, D)
Trek to the village of Deora. As you pass through the rhododendron and pine forests you will see people going about their daily routines. The wonderful insight into the life of local villagers, the scenic views, and the serene surroundings make the walk all the more fascinating. En route pass exquisite, ancient Kali and Vishnu temples. Stay overnight in a local village house (B, L, D)
Trek to the village of Paliu. With plenty of opportunities to stop en route for photographs, explanations of the local plants and their medicinal uses, to visit the village school and meet with children and other villagers, this walk will take around 5 hours. Stay overnight in a local village house. (B, L, D)
Trek to the villages of Jwalabanj. During the first part of today's walk the terrain changes, as you pass through a canyon and Himalayan cedar forests, crossing streams and fields as you go. In the afternoon, a long but gradual ascent takes you to the highest point of the walks at 2,200 metres, providing magnificent views of some of the high Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi. Stay overnight in Jwalabanj Village House. (B, L, D)
Two-hour descent ending at the Jageshwar temple complex. Continue to Kalmatia Sangam Himalaya Resort for a stay of 2 nights. The hotel offers spectacular views and is an ideal place to unwind after the previous day's trekking. (B, L, D)

Drive to Corbett National Park for 2 nights at the Corbett Hideway. (B, L, D)
Full-day wildlife viewing. Corbett is famous for tiger, but it is also home to large elephant herds, which congregate around the picturesque Dhikala Camp near the reservoir. Here you may also find marsh crocodile, wild boar and deer, whilst the birdlife includes pied kingfishers, crested serpent eagles and the Himalayan grey-headed fish eagle. (B, L, D)
